Salut, have tasted and served many great vintage of Figeac, now as a chef Sommelier of St. Regis Hotel Singapore, I really hope that Mr. Eric d'Aramon and his team can come to Singapore and organize a Chateau Figeac Wine Dinner.
I have visited Chateau Figeac and enjoyed its wines on many occasions. The last visit with a colleague was on Wednesday, 16th Feruary 2005 when we were very hospitably received by Sophia Villega. I hope I might be able to visit you again during 2007. Will be in touch.Best regards
A friend gave my husband a bottle of this 1969 St Emilion for his birthday and I am unable to find anything about this bottling year. Does anyone have any information on this before we open and enjoy this evening. Just curious about the taste and other details such as price.
My wife and I have enjoyed many bottles of different vintages of Chateau Figeac beginning with the 1959. We often open a bottle of Chateau Figeac to celebrate our wedding anniversary and recently opened one of our bottles of the 2001 vintage and enjoyed it very much. We appreciate the fact that your wines are approachable early after bottling but also have the capacity to age well. We hope to be able to visit the Bordeaux region in the future and vist your Chateau.
Recently tasted the 70 for my best friend's birthday degustation dinner. It was the star of the night. Tasting note: Crimson fading to amber rim. Beautiful floral cabernet fruit. Violet, blackcurrant, classic cedar and pencil shavings on nose. Sublime. Palate is classic, elegance itself. Structured, plenty of sweet fruit left on the palate, fine powdery tannins. V. fine long finish.20/20P.S. Can't wait to drink the 75 purchased recently as it is my birth year. Cheers!
