All the wine made at Figeac is sold through the Bordeaux market, or la place de Bordeaux, as it is known. The wines are soldon a futures basis to the Bordeaux trade in a single batch; no wine is sold directly at the estate. The sales price for a particular year is determined according to the quality of the vintage and the state of the market as indicated by the brokers.

Nowadays, the sale is completed extremely quickly, a matter of two or three days for the entire harvest (it took five years to sell the 1945 vintage, now so highly prized!).
